A half-yearly e-newsletter by the YTL PowerSeraya Group

Going Digital for Sustainability

Since the launch of the Responsible Energy Advocates Programme (REAP) in 2010, YTL PowerSeraya has reached out to over 125 tertiary students, as well as 200 residential households. Now in its sixth year, the multi-utilities provider has taken a step further in its efforts and expanded the content of its REAP student workshops – which form part of the programme – to encourage participating students to create their own digital mobile application to promote sustainability initiatives.

More than 20 students were taught to make use of this interactive feature during the four-day workshop, which also included topics that covered energy consumption and tracking. REAP seeks to develop tertiary students to be energy advocates in Singapore by raising their awareness on energy conservation; training them to assist households in implementing energy solutions and; engage them in project work for the benefit of the wider community.
