Singapore Industry Scholarship (SGIS)

Singapore Industry Scholarship (SgIS)

From 2013, YTL PowerSeraya has been participating in the Singapore Industry Scholarship (SgIS) to nurture local talent to grow and shape the future of the power industry. The SgIS is a partnership between the Government and private enterprises to develop a strong core of Singaporeans to anchor strategic sectors that are critical for the nation’s development.

YTL PowerSeraya offers sponsorship of this scholarship to outstanding Singaporean students at different stages of their university education. Under this programme, scholars are given the opportunity to undergo internships during their undergraduate days to have a better understanding of the company’s business value chain. Upon graduation, they will embark on meaningful careers with YTL PowerSeraya.

Energy Industry Scholarship (EIS)

Energy Industry Scholarship

The Energy Industry Scholarship was launched by the Energy Market Authority in early 2014 to develop and nurture talent for the local power sector – one which is critical to powering Singapore’s economy and people’s daily lives. It is co-funded by the Government and organisations such as YTL PowerSeraya.

The EIS covers the students’ tuition fees, hostel allowances, monthly living
allowances, overseas exchange programmes, as well as field trips and co-curricular activities. As a sponsoring organisation, YTL PowerSeraya also provides selected recipients of the scholarship with internship and industrial attachment programmes and upon completion of their studies, job opportunities within the company.

Engineer (Mechanical)

Supporting the Mechanical maintenance team, you will be responsible for the effective maintenance plant and equipment to achieve high reliability and availability in accordance with statutory, regulatory and safety requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled plant inspection according to maintenance regime as well as ensuring that our gas plant, auxiliaries and common systems are maintained according to SOPs, and in compliance with regulations and requirements and in a safe manner
  • Coordination of all Mechanical Maintenance programmes (PM & CM)
  • Manage and optimize all planned plant/equipment maintenance activities during minor and major overhauls and inspections
  • Responsible for the functional tests and analyse the failures related to mechanical systems and components and recommends corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence. Troubleshooting of faults/defects issues & carry out failure analysis.
  • Study, evaluate and implement plant improvement projects to enhance overall plant reliability, availability and performance
  • Execute approved plant improvement works
  • Supervision of maintenance contract works and prepare work procedures for all maintenance activities
  • Prepare technical specifications for equipment parts and work services. Manage the procurement of parts and services to meet the maintenance needs
  • Track the year to date expenditure against the approved department budget
  • Manage a team effectively through day-to-day activities

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent recognized by the Professional Engineers Board.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in plant maintenance from the Power or Oil and Gas industries
  • Sound Mechanical engineering maintenance knowledge. Good knowledge of safety and statutory requirement will be an advantage.
  • Self-motivated team player with analytical mind, strong planning and problem solving skills.

Digital Performance Specialist

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will strategise, plan and execute effective digital marketing campaigns, focusing on performance marketing and social media strategy to achieve the business objectives. You will also provide support to other marketing teammates with their various marketing projects/campaigns.

The following are the key responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Develop and support digital media campaigns according to business goals
  • Strategise and implement direct-to-customer channels
  • Drive leads, acquisition and renewal numbers with respective teams
  • Support all the media buys on social media channels
  • Develop and monitor key media benchmarks, KPI and ROI
  • Maintain and improve on overall media attribution ecosystem
  • Establish and build on .com presence
  • Enhance and improve brand presence in the digital
  • Track and get insights into competitors’ strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with digital media technologies and latest trend
  • Explore, evaluate and implement new media platforms

Skills and experience required:

  • At least two years of digital marketing experience, preferably in Technology industry
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience across the digital ecosystem that includes, but is not limited to, paid media platforms Google Network (SEM, GDN etc), social media platforms, .com and SEO.
  • Tracking, attribution and analysis are crucial for the role
  • Strong in project management as this is a single role contributor
  • Open to candidates who are either in-house or from a digital marketing agency

Internship

The YTL PowerSeraya internship programme provides opportunities for polytechnic students and university undergraduates with interest in the energy industry to gain valuable exposure and insights to our business and culture.
