Customers Participate in Earth Hour Contest

earth_hourIn efforts to raise awareness and action on energy conservation to customers, Seraya Energy organised an on-line contest in March 2011 in celebration of Earth Hour. Customers had to answer all questions correctly before they were eligible to win a limited edition cashcard worth $10 with the Seraya Energy corporate logo printed on it. With only 50 cashcards up for grabs, the contest saw a keen participation of 71 customers over the short contest period of four days.

In addition to answering the contest questions, customers were also encouraged to join PowerSeraya in observing Earth Hour by switching off their lights in their office on the Friday before the actual Earth Hour initiative (which falls on the last Saturday of March every year). To this, about 65% of the customers responded positively by voluntarily pledging to observe Earth Hour either on behalf of their company or in their work areas.
